Rice served on a piece of Banana Leaf

Soft Shell Crab with Butter Cereal
The soft shell crab is fried and cooked with nestum and butter which gives it a sweet and crispy kind of flakes with it. The flakes is not too sweet like some other nestum butter dish I’ve tried.

Ayam Bakar Wang Solo
This is the new chicken dish from the restaurant, where the chicken is marinated with spices and then grilled to perfection. You could even taste the spices when eating the chicken which means it is well marinated in it.

Iga Penyet Sari Wangi
his is the BEST dish of the night, a new menu to the restaurant and have been getting rave reviews about it. ‘Iga’ means ribs in Indonesian and this dish is grilled to perfection. We just can’t get enough of this dish and it is recommended to try and you’ll never regret it.

Beef and Chicken Satay
The satay for both chicken and beef is really tender and it just slides off the wooden stick easily. This satay is good whereby the meat is not too dry that it sticks to the wooden stick. The peanut sauce is well blend and is not as oily like other peanut sauces.

Kangkong
You have to get some ‘green’ into the dining too. This is the kangkong dish which is cooked with sambal belacan.

Beef Rendang
The Daging Sapi Rendang (Beef Stew) is a great dish on it’s own. You can taste the spices put in to the dish where it is well proportion with the beef meat. The meat itself is quite soft and tender where you don’t need to chew it as hard when you eat it.

Ikan Bakar Sunda
(Sundanese Grill Fish)
The ikan bakar was grilled to perfection and the mango sauce made it sweet and it also blends with the fish meat well.

Ayam Penyet
The famous Pondok Sari Wangi, Ayam Goreng Penyet. It’s one of the restaurant famous signature dish and it proves itself when you eat it especially with the sambal. The chicken is fried perfectly where the chicken does not feel dry. The sambal is the star of this dish because it gives the ‘kick’ when having the Ayam Penyet.

Gulai Kambing
(Indonesian Mutton Curry)
It’s mutton curry but don’t get the thinking of a typical curry dish. The curry is put lightly on the dish whereby it is not as spicy as you think. The Gulai Kambing that we had was a bit on the oily side.

Cendol
The cendol itself is quite soft and just slides in to your mouth easily, with the combination of coconut milk and gula anau, it compliment the drink. You might need to add some water if you’re not into sweet stuff.
