Location: Ground Floor Riverview Hotel

Cuisine: Western

Prawn and Mussel Blue Cheese Clay Pot
served with
Garlic Bread

This is what I call a Cheezy Ocean. The clay pot is filled with melted blue cheese with prawns and mussel inside of it. Cheese lover should love this dish. This is one of the few places that you could get a pot of cheese with a reasonable price of $12.

Tip: Try to eat this while it is still hot. When it cools the cheese will harden and the taste will not be as good as before.

Seafood Spaghetti

Carbonara

Senja Fillet Beef Steak (280g)
Covered with Mushroom Sauce
Mash potato and French Fries

You get to choose 2 side dish to go with your steak. I had mine with mash potatoes and french fries. Surprisingly both the mash potatoes and french fries were really impressive. My personal favorite the mash potatoes. I just can't had enough of it.

As usual, you get to choose how you want your steak to be cook, medium rare, rare, well done and much more. I had mine medium well. I am not a specialist when coming to choose how the steak should be, so I just let my sister do the ordering. I really need guidance on this.

Here are some tips, Here and Here.

Overall, it was a very satisfying meal. The steak was really good and I was pretty impress with the mushroom sauce. It cost around $30++ for the (280g) The price varies on the weight of the steak you choose. It is not that expensive if you think of it. The dish itself is good enough for 2 person and it is really that good to have.

Noraliza and Iskandar House of Curry

Lunch at House of Curry

They offers wide range of really good food. Especially the Murtabak which comes in various of selections such as Banana, Eggs, Eggs with onions, plain or even with meat fillings.

I have no idea what it is called. But it is like a crispy salty nan.

Roti Tissue

It is made up of thin layered flour seasoned with condensed milk and sugar. While having it gives a crispy and sweet sensation that many would adore.

Nasi Lemak Daging Rendang

This is really good. The sambal is sweet and not that spicy great for kids. The Beef is nicely cooked although some of the meat maybe a little over cook, making it a little hard to chew but overall it is still a really good nasi lemak :)

Asam Fish Head

I am not a spicy eater. I only had a few scoop of the soup. To my understanding and experience and came up with this formula

Spice + Sour = Spicy Hot

The soup was really hot after a few serving. The initial scoop was really good, the sourly and spicy taste of the soup really gets your appetite going. But the more you take the spicier it gets.

Seaworld Neptune

Seaworld Neptune Restaurant

Location: Near Jerudong Fish Market

Cuisine: Fresh Seafood

This is one of the few places in Brunei that you can actually get fresh seafood. Strategically located near the Jerudong fish market. The restaurant keep the live stock in aquariums, they give the privilege to their customer in choosing the fish and others on their own. Price factor it is quite pricy. Basicly they charge base on the weight of the live stock you chose. We had a total of 5 dishes that night at a cost of $240++ the lobster itself is around $150. If you are looking for good fresh seafood this is the place to go.

Fresh Oyster

Fresh Oyster with a squeeze of lemon is the best

Wet Kuey Tiaw

Goes best with the homemade chili

Homemade Chili

Black Pepper Clams

Strong peppery taste a little spicy :)

Cheeze Lobster

This is the bomb... The lobster is really fresh and sweet, the cheeze topping is unbelievably sweet and creamy. You could not expect any less as it is freshly prepared.

Crab Fried With Salty Eggs

I am sooo in love with this dish. The crab is covered with salty eggs, giving it a very remarkable taste. The Crab is deep fried leaving some of the meaty area a little hard and cripsy which is just nice when having it.

Easy Way

Pearl Milk Tea Craving

I don't want to bored you with the history of Pearl Milk Tea. I will just summarize the whole strong into 1 simple paragraph.

"Two elementary kids from a school in Taiwan sets up tea stand, tries to out compete other tea stand business. They came up with the idea of adding pearls to the drink which was a big hit and hence Pearl Milk Tea were born."

Done, end of story. If you need in depth details click here and here.

Which brings me to the next topic Taiwan.
Taiwan is famous for their night market especially the food from the food stalls. Another big hit is the Pearl Milk Tea. I personally been to Taiwan a few years ago during the (Milk Tea Trend in Brunei) so I went around and almost all sort of Milk Tea I can find. I was disappointed and yet happy at the same time. The Milk Tea I had back in Taiwan is not much different from the one around Aisa. I was happy because I can easily access to any Milk Tea joint in Brunei with out flying all the way to Taiwan. Here is one of the most respected Milk Tea Franchise in Brunei.
